In my old post about the Zelune Review I mentioned that there is a new proxy script which is powerful, fast and use less resources than other script by the name of Glype.
Glype proxy is a free-to-use, web-based proxy script written in PHP. Similar to a typical proxy server, a web-proxy script downloads requested web pages and files and forwards them back to the user. The service is provided by a web page itself, which allows instant access to the proxy without editing your browser connection settings.
Glype script requires PHP 5 (or greater) with cURL enabled to run it in a server, the most important thing in glype that I like is the built in template system, you don’t have to ulpoad the whole script with template in your server like you do for phproxy, zelune and others. While in glype you just upload the template of yours and select it from the admin area.
You can control the whole site from the admin area, changing your site configurations, adding or removing advertisements, so its too much easier to run the site.

- admin control panel for easy management and configuration
- server-side caching to improve speed for the end user, reduce load on your server and lighten the bandwidth bills
- javascript support allows more sites to be browsed without loss of functionality
- simple theme system to quickly customize your site, or choose from our range of free glype templates
- control access with the use of a whitelist or blacklist of permitted/banned sites
- block users by IP with individual addresses or across over an IP range; protect your site from malicious or abusive users
- unique URLs provide greater privacy – once your session expires, any URLs stored in your history are invalidated
- plugins allow you to quickly integrate site-specific code; useful for sites unsupported by the base proxy script
- virtual browser lets you choose your own user-agent and referrer, and even tunnel the connection through another proxy server
According to me this script is one of the best proxy scripts available, as it has everything so makes it lot easier for anyone to run a proxy site. But still I’m using PHProxy in my proxies 😀
